Stewardship Discussion: Wednesday, April 11

Click HERE is the post from yesterday

Proverbs 11:24-25 There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. 25 The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.
As I read this today, I see the interesting dynamic of money and the Christian and their daily finances.  In times of need, or when the bank account is low and the bills are piling high, the tithe and offering to God is usually the first to go. Many Christians will look across all their bills and think, "Well, I can't give my tithe and offering this week, I have to pay for..." What is most interesting about this life choice is that those in this deadly cycle cannot figure out why they continue to lack every week/month. The Bible is very clear - when we give to the Lord by faith (scattereth), God will provide for the other bills/needs. But when we make our offering/tithe offering expendable to pay the "world" first (withholdeth), we will continue to suffer in need.
What did God show you in these verses? Do you have any personal experience in this, a lesson learned the hard way?
