Stewardship Discussion: Thursday, April 12th

Today's Stewardship Reading:

Proverbs 21:25-26 The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour. 26 He coveteth greedily all the day long: but the righteous giveth and spareth not.

The above picture is of the sloth. But after today's reading, maybe I should have put a picture of a Christian who refuses to work and give, but only wants to receive and stockpile. There seems to be a correlation between working and giving. Seems to me that one of the truths to take from this is that when we dedicate our working to the Lord, whether in the church or the workforce, that we will have no problem dedicating our money to Him, too.

Who are you working for? Do you consider to job (teacher, factory worker, homemaker, etc.) to be for the Lord? What other thoughts/questions do you have about these verses?
